Welcome to the 2017 EA Australia Course Schedule

In 2017 we have pushed our programs even further, they are challenging and fresh and respect the complexity and importance of your role. Delivered by our amazing facilitators, it is going to be an exciting year.

With thousands of participants having attended an EA Australia workshop since our inception in 2010, we are extremely proud of our track record and confident of the learning outcomes from our Public Programs.

All of our workshops are the result of extensive research and developed in consultation with the EA Australia community to ensure that they deliver what is promised, an experience that is both relevant and inspiring.

Below is a list of our current workshops, we invite you to explore these and look forward to welcoming you onto an EA Australia workshop in the near future.

A new breed of partnership is emerging between Executive Assistants and the broader business. As the expectation increases for all roles to add more and more value to the bottom line, businesses are looking to leverage the opportunities, knowledge, intellectual property and partnerships held with the role of EA.

This one-day workshop provides insights and practical tools to increase your capability to act as a business partner. In addition, you will learn to understand your preferred behavioural style, identify the behavioural styles of others, and how to adapt to different styles and become more effective in adding value to the business. Learning will be a combination of instruction, self-assessment along with group and individual exercises.

Hosted in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Canberra, this workshop will be relevant for Executive Assistants at all levels. For more information about "Executive Assistant as Relational Business Partner", view available dates and to register, please click here.

The role of Executive Assistant now routinely includes the leadership of people, relationships, projects, and teams. This means that leading, influencing and managing power dynamics are now core competencies for all effective Executive Assistants.

In this new workshop, “Workplace Power and the Executive Assistant” you will explore the types of power and sources of influence held by Executive Assistants. You’ll learn tools for influencing and persuading in your role as an Executive Assistant. You’ll also discuss how to overcome the specific challenges faced by women in or aspiring to leadership roles. The aim of the workshop is to create a shift in thinking, enabling delegates to identify with their leadership, personal power, and influence.

Executive Assistants are in a unique position, sitting in the centre of influential networks and with the opportunity to observe and influence outside the scope of their role. Providing a background to change management philosophy and training in the emotional intelligence skills that can help them support change across the organisation will not only help the change management process but more importantly strengthen the role of EA and aid in the most difficult piece of any change plan – leading people through the change.

This highly experiential program explores the nature of authority, leadership, innovation and collaboration under conditions of uncertainty. Equipped with a transformational, practical approach, you will emerge understanding the complexity of reaction to change and support the process within your organisation.
